Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, and provide information to site owners.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Fittssy uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Fittssy sets minimal cookies, limited to what is strictly necessary for the app to function:

Session cookie (sb-*) — A secure, httpOnly cookie set by Supabase Auth to maintain your login session. This is a functional cookie required for authentication. It is not used for tracking and expires when your session ends or after the configured session lifetime.

Language preference (NEXT_LOCALE) — Stores your selected language so the app loads in the correct locale on your next visit. This is a functional cookie that improves your experience.

Guest mode flag (fittssy-guest) — A simple true/false flag that remembers if you entered Ghost Protocol (guest mode). No personal data is stored in this cookie.

Fittssy uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on the website (fittssy.com) in fully cookieless mode. We explicitly configure GA4 with client_storage: 'none', which means:

• No cookies are set by Google Analytics

• No data is persisted in your browser by GA4

• All analytics data is processed in-memory only during your page visit

• No cross-session tracking or user identification occurs

We collect only anonymous, aggregated usage statistics: pages visited, scroll depth, and button clicks. This data helps us understand how visitors use the landing page and improve the experience.

Our Android app is completely excluded from GA4 tracking.

PostHog (EU Cloud, Frankfurt) — Captures anonymized product usage events (e.g., workout completion, feature usage). PostHog does not set cookies. Events are linked to your user ID server-side to understand app usage patterns. No cross-site tracking occurs.

Vercel Analytics — Collects anonymous, aggregated page view data. No cookies are set. No personal information is collected.

Sentry (EU hosting) — Captures error reports when something goes wrong. No cookies are set for error monitoring. Only error stack traces and basic browser metadata (browser type, OS version) are collected.

In addition to cookies, Fittssy uses browser local storage technologies for app functionality:

localStorage — Stores your theme preference, skin selection, and small UI state preferences. This data never leaves your device.

IndexedDB — Stores exercise library data, workout templates, session logs, and cached data for offline/PWA functionality. In Guest mode (Ghost Protocol), all your workout data lives exclusively in IndexedDB and is never sent to our servers.

Service Worker cache — Caches the app shell (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, icons) so Fittssy works offline or on slow connections. No personal data is stored in the Service Worker cache.

Fittssy does not use any third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or retargeting technologies. We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or any advertising network.

Stripe (payment processing) may set its own functional cookies when you interact with the payment form during subscription or donation flows. These are strictly necessary for fraud prevention and payment security. See Stripe’s Cookie Policy: https://stripe.com/cookie-settings.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

• View and delete individual cookies

• Block cookies from specific sites or all sites

• Set preferences for first-party vs third-party cookies

• Clear all cookies when you close your browser

To clear Fittssy’s local storage data (localStorage and IndexedDB), use your browser’s ‘Clear site data’ or ‘Clear storage’ option for fittssy.com.

Note: Blocking the authentication session cookie will prevent you from logging in. Clearing IndexedDB in Guest mode will permanently delete all your locally stored workout data.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will update the ‘Last updated’ date at the top of this page when changes are made.
